I use an iPad with no major problems. The only minor annoyance is that the Jump to and Search functions at the bottom of a page don't work because they're partially obscured by the red bar. A quick tap of my browser's back button takes me back to the index and I can choose another area from there.

I prefer using a computer but there are times when I'd rather browse from my comfy couch.

I'm not an Apple fan by any stretch...but my little IPad is amazing!
No issues.
Same with my phone, Android.
And my desktop PC.

Agreed. Another annoyance although not nearly like the logging out issue.

For those who wondered, I'm using a 4th Gen iPad Retina 128 and using Safari as my browser. Under Settings-Safari I have cookies enabled.

I wonder if Brad has an app in the works. Several other guitar forums have them listed in iTunes. Prolly the biggest competition with this place in terms of knowledgable members would be the TDPRI. Strat-Talk and a few others also have apps. I didn't see one for Mr. Greene's site yet.

My wife has one which she uses at home because I use the desk top most of the time. When it comes to computers I'll admit that I'm not the brightest bulb in the lamp. My wife is a ad-min assistant and works with them all day, so she knows them inside and out. If it were up to me, all of those gadgets like I-pads, text machines, tablets, etc, would be all destroyed. IMO, they've made people lazy.

Works fine for me on my iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini, MacBook Air,.... however I am absolutely annoyed with the forum on my iPhone 5S because it does not scale correctly so the pictures and headers all overlap each other and I loose the ability to access some menu functions.

I bought a refurbished Asus MemoPad on ebay for like £60, but I really only use it as a PDF reader. I figured I'd save on printing costs by the time I graduate.

Tablets...Ipads/Ipods...smart phones...I don't get it. Yea, I have a very basic cell phone - I use it to make phone calls. I don't text (ever...just say no to texting!), I have no interest in "apps" whatsoever, if I need to take pictures, I use a camera and if I need to send email or chat on a forum, I use my computer.

Honestly I already have plenty of ways to waste my money...don't really need gadget fever to boot.

I dont text,....and have the dumbest phone possible. However, my tablet actually Saves me money (more money for gear). I can tie onto numerous neighborhood wifi hotspots while sitting at home for free.
I don't pay for wifi....no cable tv (over the air only).

I think it might have been Safari. I looked at Chrome as suggested but decided to go with Mercury. So far, so good. Did some browsing and then switched to some other apps. Even closed Mercury out and came back an hour later and still logged in. Hoping my problem has been solved. Keeping fingers crossed.

I don't actually have cable tv either...for that matter, not even network because I never bothered to hook up the digital converter after the change over. I do have cable internet though. Between my graphics work and my wife being an applications developer (and she does "modem in" on occasion), a reliable internet connection is a must. Don't really have any wifi hotspots in my area...a couple of neighbors do have wireless home internet (and yea, I've bounced my laptop off them from time to time out in my camper)...but I'd rather have my own cable connection in any case.

Honestly, even when I'm on the road for something, I just take my laptop...if I need wifi, I just pop into a McD's parking lot, so there's still isn't any need for something like a tablet. Anything I would possibly need a tablet for, I can already do with my laptop.

As far as the phone goes, I got this dumb little Samsung pre-payed flip-phone thru Trac-Phone...the BEST cell plan I've ever had! I only pay for the minutes that I use and the only thing I use it for is to make calls. Ok...ok...yea, I've used the timer on it to cook eggs a few times and the alarm clock function is nice when I'm on the road or out camping...but that's really about it.

I don't know if it's just that I'm getting old or that I've just seen waaaaay to many idiots wreck their cars because they were really stupid enough to think they can text and drive (texting while driving is actually MORE dangerous than drunk driving). Honestly, I won't even have a GPS in my car...if I need directions to go somewhere, I either look them up on Google Maps before I leave or...wow...I just stop and ask someone. Either way, to me it just seems like mostly mindless fools who get sucked up in this gadget fever. I just can't see spending money on something like a tablet or a smartphone just so I can play Suduko or check the weather...again I have better ways to spend my money.
