You mean that isn't natural wear from sliding across the stage on your knees while dragging the guitar?

Until I hear the reason for it, I won't pass judgment. It could be someone disabled who plays it Jeff Healey style, and need the extra space and lighter headstock, or there could be other reasons we don't know about.

Brian ! Ouch ! I got a bit misty when I saw that.
Even if the person had just one big toe protruding from their hip I don't think that they would give the go ahead for such a destruction. My guess, it was some one with obscure intentions and calamitous results.
This is of course IMHO were YMMV (to quote my favorite Martian )

That's, erm, different. Certainly not what I would choose to do to a quality Strat. Maybe a cheap beater that I couldn't give a monkeys about, but not a vintage Strat :(

Maybe he got the inspiration from the legend himself, Mr. John Mayall.
As long as it was his own guitar, I couldn't give a ratsass. A person that spends more time polishing a guitar than playing it bothers me more.

Mayall's guitar used to be a Strat.
