Been offline for a few years(no - not behind bars!) and had to start over from scratch on the Forum thanks to not writing down passwords but is good to be back.

Recognise alot of the regulars from back then - Solid Body it looks like you have taken up the bass during that time(me too!) - and some new folks. Definately enjoying a Strat and Tele build thread going on in the Strat boards.

Have added a few guitars and a bass to the herd since I last posted. Passed a few down to my son but still have visiting rights so not really gone(well, not till he moves out in a few years anyway). Looking forward to posting some pics if I can ever get my computer at home to work - can read posts on it but everytime I try to log on the page won't load.

Finally took the plunge and had some customs made. Figured if he has made guitars for EC, Joe Walsh, Steppenwolf, and Megadeath among others then I might as well have him make a Tele and a bass for me too.(Purely as an investment of course :D ) Also added a MIA Strat and a Mexi-Tele to the bunch along with a new acoustic. And just had to have more amps to go with them!

Great being single again!

Your user name does sound very familiar to me. I just came back a few months ago myself and had to start over from scratch as well, so don't feel bad. Anyway, welcome back.

Working on pix, but everytime I try to access Photobucket I get an error message stating page can't be displayed. Computer been acting up and done everything I can think of to fix.

How is bass going - don't remember you mentioning anything about bass a few years ago when I was on. I started messing with my son's a year or 2 ago and decided to get one for myself last year. Been having fun with it! No lessons though. My brother is pro bass player and coming up to visit in a few months so hoping to learn some stuff then.

Photobucket can be skittish sometimes, my thought is all of the advertisements going on at the same time lol. Crashes my shock-wave app regularly.
A pro bass player in the family will be a good source for information. That will make playing bass more fun for sure. :D Welcome to the rhythm section. 8)

Always have fun when he comes by but this time will be better. Not only for bass lessons but my son has been working on guitar and will be able to join in. And his girlfriend plays guitar so will have 4 of us playing instead of 2.

Still can't get my computer to cooperate with Photobucket but if the Fender folks don't delete the dot com, you can see my baby on the builder's website- mine is the one he picked to show for the series. Started out with some black pickups on it but I wanted Lollartrons and they didn't come in black. Went with gold because they would good in my Les Paul if I decide to swap things around later.Think he said he was going to use it for the soundclip too but haven't checked. Also had him make me a twin - a Tele-Bass. Same tele body, black hardware, and maple neck with Tele headstock. Some awesome knots in the wood too! Mine is 2nd to the end - the Relic Master. I know - I'm definitely not a Relic fan but this is different. It isn't a nice looking guitar that has been beat up. It was ugly from the start and the bass is even uglier. More like a Reclaimed Wood Series than a Relic Series and that is what appealed to me. He also has some nice ones made out of 3000 year old Sequoia that he got from a retired clockmaker. Those are sanded and finished. I was expecting to get a splinter in me the first time I played mine. Builder's site is LynnEllsworthGuitars.
