My neighbor knows I play guitar and he really doesn't even though he picked one up a few years ago, so he gave me a Fender PT-10 tuning pedal last night. I have a Boss TU-3 already and really use my Snark most of all. So being as I'm in the market for an EQ pedal, I was thinking I might sell the TU-3 to put toward a Boss GE-7 and use the Fender PT-10 for an onstage pedal tuner. Clipping the Snark on is kind of a delay between songs but I sure like it for home and pre-gig use. What do y'all use on stage? And what's your favorite model?

Edited for my poor grammar.

I also have a PT-10, a TU-3, and a Behringer (forget the mdl #). I also have the GE-7 which I use with one of my amps for a clean boost in a footswitchable loop.
I use the Fender most, though I can't defend why. It appears to be more sensitive than the Boss and it causes a buzz when activated at the beginning of a pedal board. Neither the Boss nor Behr. do this. Lately, I keep it sitting on top of my amp (not in the signal chain) and plug in when my ear tells me, and as a check @ break.

If I could keep only one, it'd be the Boss.

I use the tuner built into my Mustang with the 4-button footswitch, so I voted "pedal".

Snark most of the time on stage, but will check with strobe between sets.

Boss TU-3. It's easier for me to see on stage, accurate and reliable.

Same here. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Expensive for a tuner, but worth every penny IMO.

Boss pedal. I like my Snark, but if the rest of the band is making noise, or starts into a song before I get fully tuned, the Snark loses it's effectiveness as my neck will be vibrating from the rest of the band noise. So onstage I just stick to a pedal tuner.

Boss TU-3.

A bit expensive, but really perfect for both home use and gigs.

Reliable, accurate, very bright leds that you can see even on a dark stage, let alone the fact that you can tune your guitar in seconds even if the band and the crowd are loud.

And it has the great feature of muting your instrument.

I also am used to my Mustangs built-in tuner through the MS-4 pedal... but will be looking for a tuner for use with my new little tube combo; so I am interested in the responses here!

Been eyeballing the TC Electronic Polytune but is a pedal tuner worth the dough when something like a Snark is so less expensive?

Hi Brian, a Boss TU-2 is my favorite. Old yes but still works perfectly. On stage it is a huge help, all of the info already given on the TU-3 is applicable to the TU-2.

I use a Korg GA-30 which I find to be great and I also have a Digitech RP-50 ,which has a built in tuner as well. I tried using one of those Fender headstock tuners last year but IMO, they weren't very accurate.
