When I used to drink and would wake up hungover , I would just pop open another beer and " Poof " the darn hangover was gone. But then I would start all over again. Makes me glad I quit.

Neon Pee would be a good name for a band...

Yeah, I always though "Free Beer" was also a good one, but it probably wouldn't go down to well with bar owners if the name was on the marquee. :P That could cause a ruckus.

Well, you can practically mix it with a lot of things, so that is a curiosity. My favourite is White Russians, which I've done a generic version of when I didn't have Kahlua and used coffee milk. I've also mixed it with iced tea.

I've done the ice tea, but the coffee milk sounds good. My fave is from my Dad. A Moscow Mule which is vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice (I use real limes or Roses). Ginger ale can be used, but it isn't the same.

Hey, without the drinks we wouldn't need a cure 8) (sunglasses are an option).

That sounds good. I'll have to try that. Without the drinks would also be like watching hockey without the fights. :P That reminds me, years ago I once was hanging out with a member of the Detroit Red Wings, who was a family friend of my ex-wife, and I asked him why they got into fights all of the time. He told me, but unfortunately we were in the process of being totally pissed, as they say across the pond, and the secret was lost on me. Oh, well.

Great hockey story.

As for the Moscow Mule, I was visiting Indiana, just outside of Chicago, when my wife and I stopped at a bar to have a nightcap.

I told the waitress that the bar probably didn't have ginger beer so I needn't order a Moscow Mule. She said she would ask the bartender anyhow. When she forgot the name of the cocktail she shouted to me to call out the name across the room. So I complied and called out, "Moscow Mule".

That was a mistake. There was an obvious foreigner (me) in the midst of blue collar clientele. You could feel the silence from what was previously a noisy room. Everyone's eyes were on me ... the stranger from up north.

It was in the days of the Cold War and just the mention of Moscow was dangerous.

Needless to say, my wife and I didn't have a hangover the next day, and no Moscow Mules came to our table.

Sex, food, water, a good piss, a cigarette.

No particular order, the morning after is always a good one. Then again, I am Russian

Yeah, the good ol' days of the Cold War. :P My family and I always had some sort of ironic amusement to that since I'm half Russian (well technically Russian and Ukrainian on my Mom's side and French and English on my Dad's side, even more technical than that I'm pretty sure I'm actually a Canuck where that's concerned. :P) and my Grandparents on that side went into exile when Stalin took over. I still have relatives over there either somewhere in the Ukraine, Russia, or both, but I've never met them. Hopefully, they're still alive, considering what's been going on over there.

That works, but I quit smoking cold turkey back in 2004. Still miss it on occasion, though. It would wreck my lungs and not to mention what the damned things cost a pack these days. Me and a buddy of mine I use to be in a band with use to get together at my place and jam and record stuff on a 4-track while going through a couple of packs and beers, then we'd to IHOP or some other 24 hour joint around 2:30 AM to hang out with the rest of the freaks. :P Hard to believe that was 21 years ago. Time flies and then you're an old bastard. :P

Up until the late 90s I used to choke on 2 packs a day. After one month of shakes, and puking, I swore off them for good. Kinda miss 'em (and my pipe). But, what I really miss is the guitar(s) I could have bought with the wasted moola  'Sex, food, water, a good piss', without a cigarette will have to do for this codger. At my age I'll be lucky if I get anything besides the water. :?

Dang it all. How am I going to look cool like James Bond without a drink in one hand and a smoke in the other?

To be honest, I wasn't really a heavy smoker for most of the time, other than when I was hanging out with other smokers and even then I'd be lucky if I even went through a pack. At the end, I was only smoking around four a day, so it really wasn't too difficult. It took me a week of being a $@!&* and then I got over it. :P It probably helped with the fact I got pretty ill at the time with some sort of lung issue, which didn't enthuse me to it anyhow.

I've had asthmatic bronchitis a couple of times in my life and had my tonsils removed when I was four years old, so it probably wasn't the best thing for me to ever do to begin with. I had quit once before when I smoked from 19 years old until I was 24 (lost my taste for it because of bronchitis,) but took it up again when I was 27 because of stress of getting myself involved with an increasingly bad marriage and it probably didn't help matters that my ex was a heavy smoker to begin with. Man, that was a bad mistake more ways than one. :P Glad that's over with.

I've heard that nicotine is even more addictive than smack, which is probably true considering I've seen old ladies hooked up to an oxygen tank in a diner (when you still could smoke there) and still puffing away. I never had any comparisons to make, since I never touched that stuff. I was always afraid to.
