Do you have to have a black pick guard?

I'd go blue then order a pick guard from an aftermarket shop.

Go three layer pearl blue on blue - that would be sweet

Problem is that I already have a set of black pickups, and hardware I want to use. Reason why I showed them with black pickguards.

That's my point as well; it's very unique for a Strat (and any other model/brand as well).

If you go with the white body with black pickguard, swap out the black knobs for white ones.
