Good news, my fellow Rush fans ... like we have not been spoiled enough with the recent Time Machine and Clockwork Angels tours, Rush is blessing us with an R40 - Rush 40th anniversary tour this year in North America. I ... for one ... am elated. Big surprise there ...

Thanks for the heads up.
That's something I still have to stroke off my bucket list.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I went to the Time Machine tour and it was awesome!

Last time I saw them before that was the Roll the Bones tour, which had Primus opening. That was a treat for bass fans.

Can't wait that long between shows again, these guys are amazing.

Roll The Bones tour was the best show that I've seen. I've only been to four Rush concerts, and one of those, I was passed out the whole time....... (many, many years ago. )

Would love to catch this.

I’ve only seen them twice. Front row seats for the Counterparts tour which was an amazing show (one of my favorite Rush albums too) and back of the Arena for Test for Echo which had horrible sound but they did do all of 2112 Side 1 so couldn’t complain all too much I guess. Just didn’t have the loot to go see them the last few times but I’d really like to see them again.

One of my top 3 bands and one of my top two favorite guitarists.

I like Rush and all, but it's a pity they never found a singer. :|

I plan on being there when they come to Boston.

I think I've been to more rush shows than I've been to concerts period

I just checked their ticket prices for Bristow, VA (closest to me) and I just can't believe it... I mean, seriously... $308 bucks a seat? $428 bucks (closest to stage currently available)? $120 for the far back row amphitheater?

OMG... Um, sorry Rush... :?

Yeah, I remember when tickets to top shows were $12.50.

I think you must be looking at a ticket broker, and not the a. For the Denver show, the best seats are $125 with the 300-level selling for $40. I know all the prices are different, but I can't believe that they are THAT different.

Maybe I’m one of the few folks that actually love Geddy’s voice though I suppose I can understand where the other point of view is coming from.

To me his 70s voice has just a great Prog rock sound that fits the music. Brad Delp… phenomenal singer but I don’t think I’d want to hear him singing Soliloquy or Xanadu or Limelight… well maybe Limelight would be interesting but ok. Then on the later albums, he’s really seemed to focus more on “Singing” and I have much more respect for his “singing” voice. Take the harmonies on songs like “Bravado” or much of the stuff on Counterparts for example.

Anyhoo… that’s just my take on it. I’m biased of course… I’m a huge Rush nerd.

I really hope to get to this show. Livin La Vida broka right now but maybe I’ll get lucky.
