I'm 15, turning 16 in march.
I began playing seriously at 13.
That's also around the time I got interested in (good) music.

ive been playing since they made guitars small enuff for 3 year olds. i know more than my dad [ which is a gazillion bizillion things] and i play gigs friday nights with him. its really made us closer and i learn from each gig. i knew he cared alot about us when he gave me the dragon guitar. it s a black guitar [ fender of course] with a beautiful dragon painted on it. the case also has a dragon on it.

I began Noodling with one at 8, But got Serious at 16. I felt like a late bloomer, it seemed like one out of every six guys played Guitar in my Highschool (I was the only one with a Fender, everyone else used Ibanez, Aplause, Charvel, or some pointy copy). I'm pushin' 37 and I'm gonna keep playin' like I mean it!

I'm sixteen. I got my first guitar (a strat) when I was eleven and started playing seriously at thirteen. I wish I had started earlier.

So fine to hear all you youthful types have begun playing guitar. it can be a lifelong love affair and passion.

Good on you!

'Began at 16 and still deeply love the instrument and many musical genres possible with it.
