Although, I do wonder if Jim Morrison really did die, or faked it. I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, but from what I've heard about all of the circumstances related to it, you have to wonder. It is possible that he could have done so to get away from all of the BS around him. Maybe he went down to the Caribbean or some place like that. There wasn't any internet or anything like that back then so it was a lot easier to pull it off.

Anything was possible, but I believe he's gone. Jim couldn't stay off of drugs.

Yeah, I doubt he'd ever show up in public and say "I'm back," if he was.

I agree, Jim would stay a recluse for the rest of his life.

As similar as the other Fretless was that started this thread, to the one that just replaced it, this one is a bit nicer. The grain in the Alder body is better, and this appears to be a two board body, not a three piece like the older one was. They blended the splice in better.

It plays really good too. Nylons on a Fretless go well together also.

I was always hoping to see an Olympic White, Am. Std. Fretless Jazz. I think it would be nice. I'm not going to hold out for that one though. Image

I'm liking the Fretless sounds through the Bassman setup. It was worth getting this Jazz.

Not only fun, but if you agree with the setup on it, It's a pretty hard bass to beat, no matter what music you play.

Yeah, it can be versatile. I do notice I have a tendency to slide more, when I played one.

The Nylons make that even better on slides.

You do a lot of sliding when you play it? I know it's tempting to get a lot of that "MUWHAA" sound. :P

Some, depending how I feel, and what I'm playing. I do more slides when I'm playing my rambling around times. Like I say, "let the sounds take you away."
