That looks pretty nice. I like the way the black pickguard also looks on a red or blue bass, too. I've seen a few Fenders and Squiers like that around the web.

Thanks, I liked the looks of the Black PG on the 3-Color Sunburst PJ that I had.

I don't think I'd like the Black on my Olympic White Jazz. Just me though. The Black Moto is about as dark as I like on it, cause it's not a solid finish.

I like the tortoise shell pickguard with the white, too. I've seen a few examples of that around.

I like the Tort, when it's a darker brown, with less gold flakes in it.

I think my Schecter's tortoise shell pickguard is more red than brown. I called it the pizza pickguard. :P

I like that Pizza PG name. I honestly haven't had that many Tort PG's I liked. The ones I did like were a couple on 3-Color Sunburst Jazzes.

I remember the 50's reissue P Bass I had came with a gold pickguard and it was Olympic White body. I thought that looked pretty cool. I think they only did those with the 50's models, and few of those, though.

I think you're right about the gold PG.

I don't think they made them for Jazz Basses, sans outside of Fender, though. I suppose that makes sense, since that seemed to be a 50's thing and the Jazz I do believe came out in 1960.

I think the Gold PG just look's a bit better on a Precision, being a longer PG. Most of the control covers on Jazzes are chrome anyway.

Yeah, that's true, unless you have gold hardware installed.
