do you mean "shipping"?
I've ordered stuff like accessories and a few effects from musiciansfriend, and I have yet to have a bad experience. I think most of those types offer free shipping over some dollar amount. MF's offers it for orders over $100.
But I think you should just go to a music shop near you for a cable and skip the ordering online if you can for something small like that.

I too have purchased from Musician's Friend. It was a great buying experience. It is going to be different for different people. I have heard horror stories about Musician's Friend, but never experienced any.

Every horror story I've heard is from folk who've orderd a guitar online. I don't know why anyone would do that, espicially in the winter months.

For smaller items you'll probably pay some shipping and would probably do just as well to shop locally. For guitars my fav is Sweetwater, much better then MF>

Yeah, here's what they do. Once you order something from Sweetwater you are assigned a sales rep. From that point on, as long as that person works there, that will be the person to handle your orders. If you call with questions, that will be the person to help you. They make follow up calls to see how your last purchase is working for you. If you buy a guitar they do a complete check of your guitar before shipping. I once ordered a Korg synth from them and my sales person called me to let me know they had a floor model that worked just fine, a few minor dings that he'd sell me for $150 below retail with full warranty. You'll never get that kind of service from MF.

I've never used them, but I've heard good things.

The downside of that is my rep sent me e-mail nearly everyday for three weeks after I made an inquiry about a guitar. I guess they work on commish, too.

I've had good luck with Musician's Friend, but like the others I've heard the occasional horror story, and yes, it was usually about a guitar.

I've also have had great experiences with Musician's Friend. I've ordered many things (including three guitars, and an amp), and have never had any problems.

But....for just a cable.......it seems so much simpler to just get one from a local music store.....unless you're ordering a lot of other things. Or.....you live in a very remote location.

I have had luck with Sweetwater also but they will nag you with followup sales calls. You may also try Elderly Instruments they are also good to buy guitars from . They do complete setup before shipping if needed. And sell some very nice instruments.

The downside of that is my rep sent me e-mail nearly everyday for three weeks after I made an inquiry about a guitar. I guess they work on commish, too.

Check out Butch at Bayou Cables. He's a great guy to deal with, I have no problems.
