wiki: "A plectrum (pick) for electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars and mandolins is typically a thin piece of plastic or other material shaped like a pointed teardrop or triangle. The size, shape and width may vary considerably. Thin items such as small coins, bread clips or broken compact discs and credit cards can be used as substitute plectra. Banjo and guitar players may wear a metal or plastic thumb pick mounted on a ring, and bluegrass banjo players often wear metal or plastic fingerpicks on their fingertips. Guitarists also use fingerpicks."

I looked that up because I wasn't certain what Plecktrum was.
I have posted before that I use Starpick's, yellow for bass guitar orange for guitar. However, I used V-picks before being introduced to Starpick's and have been using them again. V-picks are easy to use, come in various sizes shapes and thickness and alter sound in a good way as if you are finger picking. A warm sound even if you strike the string hard. A remarkable difference I should say.

Just received my new supply of V-Picks. Such a difference. I got another starter pack, on sale (thanks Vinni !) and a couple singles my favorite of those is the small poined ultra-light. Here is the link:

Those V-Picks look interesting... I would think that even a thin one is pretty sturdy... How the heck do they get a warmer type of tone... they say they're an Acrylic of some sort... interesting :)

Strat-Slinger, an amazing innovation that must be tried to understand. By no means cheap but in every way better than conventional picks. I am a frugal guy and hesitated until our Brother Chet persuaded me to try them. I save them for live gigs because you don't drop them lol. The ultra lite versions have flex but, and check this, just the right amount of flex. Let us know if you try them, tell Vinni that you are a member here and know Chet and us fella's, if you e-mail him. Happy picking :D
