Yeah, and for some reason going through a drive thru often reminds me of Gibby Haynes. That and seeing an auction. :P

Then there's X-Ray Spex, one of the few punk bands to feature both a Strat and a Sax. And with X-Ray Spex Poly Styrene (RIP) on vocals, all I can say is they were one of the best punk bands with a female singer ever!

This older dude agrees with you, Highline, that this is one great punk rock band. Some punkers should stand up and take notice as more like this would help to increase the punk scene. I only say this because in the 70s recording companies had flooded the market with vinyl and tape; so much so, that many bands that either had one hit or no takers kept the shelves full of crap that no one bought. Some of the music was so bad, or had no direction, that it couldn't even be given away. The music industry was wasting money on missing the mark, and soon bands were either released from their contracts, or they were paid out without spending more money on studio time or distribution.

The net has been a great boost and change for independent and alternative music, but, unfortunately, we're reaching that 70s stage again where great music exists amongst a lot of crap in all genres. At least the shelves aren't full and bands like X-Ray Spex Poly Styrene know the difference between a well executed song versus (well, you get the idea).

Another way to look at it is - without the crap we might not know how good the great stuff is. (Compared to others I play both good and crap  ) In the end though, having fun is really where it's at.
