So, installing an N3 in a regular tele, no S1 or 4/5 way switch.
Question: The wiring diagrams on both Fender and SD don't cover this pickup, which has three wires in different colors than what SD thinks Fender uses, and the only diagram Fender has is for S1 wiring.

Both pickups have black, green and red wires. No yellow. No white. No differences between the two.

So my guess is... Short the black to the green, and use the combo as if it were the black wire, and the red wire as if it were yellow?
Am I doin it rite?

I saw that, but I think "Connect the red wires to the switch in the same positions that the stock pickup wires are" doesn't apply when the guitar doesn't have stock wiring...
So I need which combination of wires on a N3 corresponds to "yellow" and "black" on a Noiseless vintage, not where to connect them.

I'm not sure if this will work but would it be possible to ohm it out to see which wires correspond to what? Just a thought.

Black and green are ground. That equates to black on the vintage noiseless.

Great - that was my guess, so thank you! Hopefully it will be a tad more sparky now!
