Are the only colors available for guitars the ones listed on the websites? or is there more colors available at stores? Also can you custom order a basic guitar with a color you want?

You have to check around because a lot of stores will have old new stock on hand that is no longer being produced.

Not sure. A shop where I grew up used to and probably still does "special runs" of guitars from Fender with weird colors and different specs.

Guitars that are new that the manufacture may not show on the web site because they may not make it any more but had in the past. Well shops will still have some of these availible in there stock. Kind of like buying last years car model its new but old and may be differant from the new stuff. Color, parts so on.

If you click the Products link above, then Guitars...you can use the search bar in the upper left to search for Vintage White. You'll get a list of the models currently available with that color. If what you're looking for isn't there, you'll have to talk to you local dealer about ordering one special.

I've noticed some of Fender's newest offerings have a very narrow selection of colors. I might be interested in picking up one of the new Jazzmasters (with the new Adjusto-Matic bridge !!!), but they come in only black or sunburst. The new Jag comes in Candy Apple Red (!) or sunburst; the Jag HH is white or sunburst. Might hurt sales. Might.

You can call Fender and tell them what color you want, just be prepared that you maye have to pay extra if they consider it a special or custom order. With most manufacturing processes for everything becoming automated these days, its often cheaper to make 100 of something than 1 sometimes...Plus other than Custom Shop guitars, you can't really order directly from Fender unless you are a Fender Dealer or something to that effect...
