I was frustrated when the site was down yesterday, MF had a sale going on that I wanted to blab to everyone here. MIM Blacktop HH rosewood strat's for $348.56 after all the discounts on Friday only. I picked up a candy apple red one. Thought it was a good deal.

I agree with everyone about getting used to the new site, giving Brad and his team time because they see what we see lol. Glad we're back, I missed here and y'alls. :D

PS: hit quote and erase whats in the quote then post your post. 8)

The post reply button is working just fine now lol and I'm getting used to the new site. Thanks again Brad.

The new style looks great! It's big and bright and new, yet still has the same familiar setup and navigation. The few minor problems have been/are being addressed quickly. I had no problem following the posted instructions to log on, and even kept my same password, "changing" it to the same one that I had before.

arth1 ---> lame!

Great job Brad and team! 8)

With reference to my previous post - the only reason I managed to access my account and post is because I have more than one computer set up to access this forum.
I have logged out on one of the machines and tried to log back in.

I keep getting an error message.
I click the forgotten password button.
I get a link through to this http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/

It's Groundhog Day for as long as you want to go round.

Is there any chance of you actually getting a grip of the problem?
I have already set up two (yes two) accounts because my first one (Stratmangler) wouldn't let me in and nobody at your end could sort that one out.
I'm now on Stratmangler2.
3 ain't gonna happen.

All I want to do is talk guitar with the other guys......
Your guitars and amps are great, but your forum is falling rather wide of the mark....

I had same problem in the uk so at bottom of page changed country to US then link took me to the log in to reset password. Now all ok

I had a bit of a run around trying to login/change my password, but as you can see I finally got it sorted out.

The new style seems okay. I'll soon see how well it works.

I had my troubles logging in after the "upgrade" - links leading to international pages to "404 page not found" etc; so the start is a bit bumpy.

I guess the new look will take a few days getting used to.
The fonts (like here, typing this post) are too small - had to zoom the browser to 125%.
Another thing I can't understand: logging in with email-address vs logging in with username. My email is a lot longer than my nick, so naturally I'd prefer the previous way.

At this point it's a B-/C+ grade. Probably going a bit higher in a couple of weeks.

Edit: The info about the upgrade and maintenance break was insufficient. Didn't notice any message/email/other of it before the forum blacked out; just cold turkey one fine morning. And then there was no info on how long it would be gone. You guys have all our email addresses (I do get the ads...) but no-one bothered to think about sending a little note on this..?

Now I can see who is posting, so I'm glad that is resolved but, why did Fender have to take away the reviews of their products ? Is their any answer to that ? I used to enjoy reading them and found some of them to be quite informative.

I honestly didn't know if the forum was coming back or not since it was down a long time. Welcome back! Bug fixes take time of course for a small business with limited resources like FMIC. Here on a windows machine it isn't resizing avatars, so some members' avatars are spilling over into the comment field obscuring their remarks. Worse, when someone quotes them their avatar appears again and spills even further into the comment field blocking a larger percentage of text. This is mainly true for people with oversized avatars on my Firefox browser. Haven't tried the other browsers yet or my iPhone. I never use this forum on the iPhone anyway. This post was mainly to see if my avatar is a "comment space offender" and I found out that at least here it isn't. Many of you will want to resize your avatar or use a default stock avatar, otherwise your post won't be 100% seen here right now.

Thanks, oldude. Your workaround worked for me in Canada.
Cheers,
