Notwithstanding Arth's assessment of the process, the majority of the proletarians registered herein do not seem to be as troubled by the hitches as he appears to be. Show me how to navigate to the Custom Shop pages and I'm cool. 8) The rest will settle out.

I haven't been here for a little bit, and it appears that I've missed something!

BTW, I prefer the old style forum.

Yup, the "add foe" option is still available :D :D :D .

On another note, I think Brad (Fender) has done a fantastic job throughout the years maintaining this forum. I know it has been a great asset to me and has helped me countless times, as have many a forumite. I appreciate the fact they even considered making changes as it shows me that they still have a interest in our input/blabber. I agree that there are a few glitches that need to be worked through and with a positive and optimistic approach, i'm sure they will be addressed. I don't agree that people who take pride in their job and what they do should be bashed just because some may feel they could do a better job. It's just plain insulting if you ask me.

Anyhow, +1000 for the "new look". Oh, and glad to see you posting again, Retro.

Fear not. As with a new lady friend, you'll get into it, sooner or later. :!:

"The old saying, "If it's not broken, don't fixit", holds true in this case. Comments already posted cover my thoughts. There should be a Poll for this.

Another glitch, also related to mixing fixed size containers with variable size elements:

That's terrible....But I'm sure these issues will eventually be addressed accordingly.

To be honest, I'm more concerned with getting advice/ideas on fixing amps, setting up guitars, conversing with fellow forumites and keeping up with current events than I am with the appearance of the forum. As long as it remains an asset, I'll keep posting/visiting/etc. I'll acclimate to the new look, and eventually be able to find where all the important (to me) links are and go about my business.

Peace.

Latest updates: username font size has been increased, and the great reply button mystery resolved. :) arth1, I do have some thoughts in response to the above as I don't think you 100% got my own point - off to other responsibilities currently but will explain further later in the weekend.

I visited both Japan and China in November. What the Japanese have pioneered, the Chinese have squat of. They squat over porcelain in the airport facilities in Beijing. The computer savvy will go paperless in China. Hence, be prepared. The Japanese have yet to go paperless and equip their technological masterpiece with a blow dryer. Mooning the wall mounted dryer can be quite an endeavor. Hence vintage gear is what was found in the Delta Lounge at Norita, Tokyo....Western seats, auto flush, paper rolls, and choice or air dry or paper at the wash basin. As well, in Nagasaki. I should add that' high end' facilities in China often provide at least one Western-style comode. To the contrary, rural offerings can run to simply a hole in the ground. In the light of the new 10 year tourist visa agreement, the Chinese would be wise to up the anty to meet the needs of the Western derriere.

I like it! :D I'm just glad they didn't do away with the forums altogether.

The "New Look" is cool with me... but damn... took me 2 days to be able to log in... changed my password... tried everything... FINALLY got in again :?

Do want to mention... Brad is awesome... got back to me after I decided to send the "WebMaster" a message letting them know was having issues signing in.

Whatever he did... seems to have fixed the problem. Figure there's others having probs signing in to the forum as well.

Well, I've had trouble to log in after the site changes. The international sites showed me a nasty 404 error message.

I advise Brad to made those changes for the global sites as well because some customers get trouble to recover their passwords.

The new US site looks pretty good, however the pages for Custom Shop and Squier products are missing.
