Change is inevitable. Just when you get used to something, someone will say "hey this looks old and needs a face lift".

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

TANSTAAFL

People pour time and knowledge into the site, commodities that are not free, and in return, Fender gets search results, and people being exposed to the Fender brand and getting links to Fender guitars. It's marketing, which certainly isn't free.

BS! YKWIM <------ You Know What I Mean.

Members don't pay a dime, and choose to participate (freely). Members share knowledge, and in return learn a few things along the way (freely). Anyone that thinks that the site is costing them, money or time, are free to move on to some other interest.

Fender spends their own money, and if you are correct and they gain product sales, then they might even make up the money that they spend on the forum (again, making it free).

Any way that you want to try and twist it, the forum is free for anyone to use, and free for them not to use it.

Meaning that constructive criticism is welcome, but undue pretentiousness is frowned upon.

Get it comrade? 8)

I like it! It has a more modern look than the old forum. Good job, Brad & team!

I have to admit I actually LIKE the look of the new forum and haven't had any issues with it on my PC.

However I still can't use it on my Android tablet. All I get is a big white rectangle covering the middle 80% of the screen. Makes it a bit hard to read anything and actually fill in my login details etc...

My only issue is the new site takes a loooong time to load. This happens both at home and my office, different systems, different providers. At my office we have pretty quick Fios. This is the only site that takes extra time to load. Even longer than msn.com, with all of their news stories and ads.

Drew365, have you tried a different browser, or even updating your browser? I find that IE is about the slowest for loading almost any website. I use FF and it seems to load pretty quickly, and Chrome is even faster.

Thanks, I'm a bit of a dinosaur. I tried FF and it is faster loading.
I'll try Chrome the same day I get a Facebook account. Google harassed me on my cell a little too much and it's left a lasting negative impression.
