Hi Brad,

I can't get into my captainc account. Is it possible to update that or merge with my fuse account? With the overhaul of the forum i may as well take the opportunity to do the same with my two accounts.

thanks very much.

Happy Holidays.

Mind sending me a note offline (ForumAdmin@fender.com) and describing what problem you're having with your captainc account?

The important thing is Arjay is back! The fancy new forum finagle works and looks OK for me (aside from the re-doing account business--tedious). But have to agree with others, 3 days downtime for this seems a little sad. Which maybe says more about my missing it like a rat pounding for pellets those three days than Fender's lack of IT savvy.

I was going to say the same thing but I noticed he only posted the one time to make this thread. He disappeared the moment he had 20,000 posts. He still has only 20,001 despite this thread being several days old and his record of making almost a dozen posts per day.

We know you're out there lurking, Arjay.
The gig is up!

Love the new look! Good job, Brad.

My only issue was that I had to reset my password, but that was just because I was absent minded enough to forget what it was. It was nobody's fault but mine.

Thanks for that. Now on to the next aesthetic problem: the Submit button is lower than the others, and again I suspect use of pixels is to blame. (It becomes more apparent if you zoom out, which indicates that the problem is due to hardcoded pixel offsets, which can cause the scalable elements to move in "jumps" instead of smoothly, as pixel offsets are always rounded to integers when scaled.)

It takes a little longer to read on the phone but the print is larger, wish they'd bring back the auto correct feature, it saves time typing.

As far as I know, spell checking and/or auto-correct are features of the browser, not the web site.
And spell checking works as well as before for me, while auto-correct didn't work before and doesn't work now.

As far as I can tell, the change is meant to be cosmetic, not functional, except where the form changes the function.

Noted - thank you, sir. Under investigation.

Nice to see that the text entry area for posting replies is in a larger font. Much easier to read.

I would like to see the topic titles in different colors. Now, new topics are in bold black and after you have read a new topic, it turns to a grey color. I'm an old guy and seeing the difference is a little hard for me. I would like to see it go back to the original colors or a previously read post be a blue color would be nice.

Jerry

Looks good Brad!
And season's greetings to all!

I think that's a great point, Jerry - blue might be a little extreme for the color scheme here but I agree that we could definitely stand to increase the contrast a bit on new unread links vs. read ones. Adding it to the list!

Black and Blonde Tolex textures would look good. 8)
