Gonna take some time to acclimate, I think.

This isn't a minor nose job or cheekbone tweak......it's a major facelift!

Pretty bright. Hopefully, there's plenty of good changes that will make it a better forum. It recognized my user name, so that's a good sign!

Couple things I have noticed already.

1). I did not have to change my password to log in as the "Please Read" Announcement describes.
2). Seems the screen name and other info is TINY above/below our avatars and elsewhere.

1. If you click on the sign in button at the top of the page, it will have you reset your password. I figured I'd have to do it eventually, so I went ahead and changed mine. But, yeah, it was recognizing me with no problem.
2. I noticed the small font also. I thought it might have to do with my settings, but everything else is normal size, so I think it's a global setting that needs adjusting.

Agree that it is going to take time to get used to.

Don't care for the tiny font for the username area or anywhere else.

Small font also entering text in a new message.

Jerry

Most assuredly will take some time to get used to this. Yep not crazy about the avatar font size either...hard to read! But the rest of it appears to work just fine.

You'd think Brad would have had a couple of cold ones on hand to welcome us back   That aside, Brad's noted that not all the bells and whistles are up to speed. This isn't the first time we've had revisions and glitches to deal with. I trust this too will pass. For those who find it necessary to jump ship...."Sayonara!"

This was the only way I could do a reply also. Do you need a secret hand shake for that now, or what!?

If it takes as long to decide what that ought to be, as it did to decide on the design of a Forums guitar.............

I'm not exactly impressed. Too much white space, too tiny fonts, and lots of extra stuff to scroll past.
It seems like a change for the sake of change, not to address any problems.

Hopefully, Brad spent the two extra minutes this time to turn on regex post filtering and rejecting all posts with lines matching ^.*\*.*\*.*\*.*$, which would account for, oh, close to 100% of the spam here.

As for problems, I fear that the Fender FUSE people must have been involved, because they now have introduced an incompatibility with high DPI displays. The style bar at the top while posting is hardcoded to a specific number of pixels, while the text in them scales. The net results is that only part of the text is seen on a high DPI display, because the fonts scale while the box doesn't.
So I see QUOT and COD and two boxes both saying LIST.
Likewise, the grab handle for resizing the reply window doesn't show with high DPI settings - it disappears below the window box. Again, it looks like someone has replaced the scalable elements with hardcoded sizes, not taking into account that fonts and widgets do scale, and is outside the web designer's control.
These problems are probably not for Brad to fix, but whoever massacred the style sheet to get it to look more Fender-ish.

As for doing a reply without quoting, you have to scroll down all the way to the bottom. Which is doable, but much more work than before because of all the extra crud you have to scroll past.

It looks good, apart from the miniscule font size, but I find it less practical.
A more rectangular look with lots of extra whitespace seems to be the current fad. Windows 8 "Metro", Android's "Material Design" style in Android 5 and newer apps, and, well, this. I'm sure it makes more sense on tablets than on PCs.

I scrolled down to the bottom on my page, and no reply button.
