Hello all,
I realize there are differences in the V1 and the V2 software, however I was wondering if there was any way to update ( add to) the stompbox selections on the V1?

Thanks for the help.

There's a forum here for Mustang amps.
But in short, no. Not in the V2 either. Fender doesn't upgrade features, they sell new amps.

Kind of like a car. My 1998 Toyota has a tape deck, not a CD player. When Toyota started producing cars with CD players installed, they didn't "upgrade" my car.

One difference is that every unit of a replacement CD player would have cost Toyota money. With software updates, there's no appreciable difference in costs whether one customer or a million customers download it.
And, you can buy 3rd party players. You can't buy 3rd party Mustang software upgrades. Speakers, yes, but not software.

And several car manufacturers do indeed provide free software updates. My BMW has received three so far.
I haven't had to buy a new car to get it to work with a more modern phone, but I had to buy a new amp to get it to work with a more modern PC.
