In the car, radio and cd's. At home cd, vinyl, and u-tube. Songs I figure out, I put on cassette because it's a lot easier to pause, stop, and go back a few measures.

I'm seeing some very decent bluetooth speakers out there these days...I like the wireless options.

All of the above...

Here in D/FW we are blessed with several non-commercial (KXT 91.7 and KNON 89.3, amongst others) and college stations (KNTU and KTCU) that go waaaaay deep and don't stick to specific formats.

My CD collection gets quite a workout, and more recently my vinyl has been a bigger player than recent years.

Since I was the original analogue man in a digital world,my Luddite ways make it difficult if not impossible for me to download music for an I-pad or any other digital music storing/retrieval device. All of my music listening has to be done either on CD,vinyl, tape (reel to reel or cassette) or by radio-mostly satellite but occasionally AM or FM CBC stations.I also subscribe to LastFM online which is a great source of music in whatever genres you prefer.

I recently had the pleasure of hearing the Bose Mini Bluetooth. I couldn't believe the depth of sound this tiny little thing can produce. It's definitely on my Christmas list.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

LOUD! 8) Either through my home stereo or Bose headphones via, MP3, CD, radio or youtube. I still have some records from when I was younger but no record player. :( Nothing beats a record player! Thanks for the Christmas present idea!

Vinyl, I wish! I was born in '52 and started working when I was 15. Almost every extra dollar I had was spent on something musical. I had a great record collection. When I was 19, I was awakened by my brother yelling the house was on fire. That took care of my collection, on Christmas Day no less. Sure I replaced my favorites but it wasn't the same.

Along with vinyl, I've been through reel to reel, 8 tracks, cassettes, cd's, and streaming. I had a nice cd collection going until the movers "lost" it in transit.

Now I have maybe 20 cd's but I listen to Pandora One the most which I think was your original question. :D

I'm probably old and biased, but tiny speakers just can't pump enough air. Give me a pair of good floor speakers, and I don't mean the skinny towers they make today, but the way they were made before, with an 8-10" woofer and a slave.

I mean, you wouldn't play your guitar on a 2" speaker, so why would you play a recording of a guitar on 2" speakers?

Agreed!
My nephew has one of those Bose (about the size and shape of a small piece of fire wood); the thing sounds amazing for what it is...but it ain't nothing like my 400 watt Cerwin Vegas w/18" woofers. I too like the "air", and the heavy beat hitting my chest like a Mack truck.

P.S.- But you ain't getting the Vegas in no backpack.
