Just got this Jay Turser 6 string Beatle guitar from China. Nicer than it should be and cool cheesy tone. Don't like the Turser name on the headstock. Would it be ok to change it to Hofner? I'll never ever sell it- until I do. Image

Oops!
You said don't laugh.
Sorry.
Ummm, I recommend contacting the good folks at Hofner.
I don't see any reason why they should have a problem with it.
I mean ... it's just a little decal.
It don't mean nuthin'.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The black pickup covers would be a dead giveaway that it's not an actual Hofner, but if you are looking for decals,Jeffo 46 could probably get you a line on those.

Just for the record, it's the lighting, the pickup covers and all the metal hardware is genuine fake gold color.

I bet you're a riot at parties. LOL. Seriously though , Jay Turser puts out some good product. One of my friends has a JT Strat in a Yellow finish which has a nice vintage tone to it.

Don't tell me when I can't laugh (mock anger). Hey if you like it, great. I think I read Paul got the Hofner because it could be flipped over for leftie much easier than other bass guitars....

When I posted the pics of this guitar it was right out of the box. When I played it found several issues. 2nd fret was high, 3rd fret was loose and there was a broken pickup wire. Then I decided to spend good money after bad and took it to my luthier for repair. He called the next day and said it was done. He leveled the frets, fixed the wire, did a set up and put new strings on. Said normally over a 100 bucks but I'm a good customer so he only charged me 57 bucks total. Then I emailed the guy in China and told him what was wrong and what it cost me to fix it. He sent the repair costs to my paypal account (Which I didn't ask for), I thought that was a cool thing for him to do. Plays perfect now.

I get that you don't want the Tursor name on the headstock. But instead why don't you have some fun with it and create a new name ... like "Bofner" or "Notfner".

At first glance, the mind boggled because I thought you had a banjo tuner on the 9th fret.

Enjoy your Jay Tulser - it's very ... MOTSey!

Dude, that was a joke, which you obviously didn't get  Besides I play guitar not headstock logos, I don't care what the logo says.

Was a joke for those who read most of the posts on the site, and for that it was a good one
Though both Bofner and Notfner sound great. It's not a bad idea :D
