I was looking at cheap Chinese guitars and they keep saying they have 'initiative adapterization pickups'. Does anyone know WTF that means?

You've left your headlights on, you're draining the batteries......something along those lines I suspect  ....or....If you really know what you're doing you could make these pickups sound/perform like any other. They're trying to take over the world I tell ya, trying to take over the world. What I'd like to know is who gave them reds the right.

I think it's probably just a very poor or loose translation from Chinese.

Initiative adapterization could mean the pickups adapt themselves according to the various changing fields around them and initiate an appropriate signal. It could mean nothing more than "pickups".

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Maybe google translator's interpretation of 'active pickups'...
Just for fun, "active pickup" googletranslated to 'simple Chinese' is 主动拾音器
(& Sorry if that came out as an ancient Chinese curse word.)

Both Chinese and Japanese do not translate particularly well , for instance, the phrase
"Out of sight- out of mind"
Translates as
"Invisible Idiot"

My first thoughts were also that it was poorly translated active pickups, but don't all guitars with active pickups use a 9v battery? None of the guitars I looked at had battery compartment, but what the hell do I know.

My instructions say- "To turn on the recorder, turn on the recorder". I swear.
You just have to love the Oriental frame of mind. Or circle of mind- not sure.

Ah. Engrish.

I think I may want to buy this inflatable bath tub and subject it to warm water:
