Traded one of my strats, a 2010 mim midnight wine strat, mint condition for this 2003 Squire Starfire. When Fender bought Guild they also got their Korean made Dearmond brand. When they killed that off they made their most popular models with the Squire label from 2002-2004. Same assembly line, same factory (Cort). Only difference was a switch from Dearmond pickups to Duncan designed pickups which aren't as good imho. Over all quality is equal to a Epiphone. These are a hard to find item.ImageImageImage

Nice :D :D I have a Squier that's one of my favs. I always get the spelling wrong on Squier vs Squire. Why did fender do this? I really like your guitar, have lots of fun with it!! Is it chambered? I just noticed the F holes were filled.

I notice I too misspelled Squier (oops). Must be my camera because the f holes are not filled, the guitar does have a spruce center block however.

Oh OK, I see now it's just the picture. I played a DOT for a while and really enjoyed it. It was a $200 and had the best action I have ever seen. Really, it was crazy low with no buzz. But I enjoyed the semi-hollow body very much, especially the weight. Nice color on yours too.
