If it is 2 guitars in a band; Allman Brothers, Thin Lizzy, Canned Heat, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, AC/DC. Are those all Gibsons? Not sure if there is a band that has 2 Stratocasters or 2 Telecasters. I would try a Stratocaster with a Telecaster or a Jaguar with a Jazzmaster to see if those combinations would work well together. :D 8)

If we could tack a Bigsby onto that Ja-90, maybe make the body a tad deeper, and put a TV Jones filtertron on there, yeah, that would work for me.... for a while!

James Tyler Variax. The ultimate combination of guitars?

I have (but don't use anymore) a Line 6 modelling amplifier (AX2-212) and for a while I used it rather often but eventually I became dissatisfied with the tones. It made some very good reasonable facsimiles but none were truly awesome. I think eventually one would come to feel the same way about the Variax but I also think the sheer versatility of the instrument would outweigh that by a big margin. I like the idea of being able to switch from acoustic-6 to acoustic-12 to Les Paul to Strat to Tele instantly, without the need for a roadie waiting in the shadows on stage left. Cuz let's face it. Not many of us have that luxury.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Arc Angels (Charlie Sexton and Doyle Bramhall II) famously used two Strats most of the time--although both veered off onto other instruments as well.

Well, my S-70 is pretty much a Strat, an SG, and a Lead I put together. I'm not fantasizing.

Thanks Matt, here is a video of those 2 playing Strat's:

Here's two famous guitarists that you don't normally associate with Strat's, Joe Walsh and Don Felder. Actually their LP's are sitting on the back of the stage through most of this video.
