Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place, but hoping that someone can help out here;

I have a Modern Player Tele, wired like this: http://support.fender.com/service_diagr ... A_SISD.pdf
The bridge pickup has three wires.

I've picked up a Seymour Duncan SH-11 humbucker for the bridge, which has four wires; a black that doesn't exist on the tele's current humbucker.

I assumed that the switch on the modern player was to split the coils, but I think I might be wrong, having looked inside. I wasn't planning on a complex setup with extra switching, I bought it from the store, and assumed i'd be able to drop it in.

Can anyone suggest where I should be wiring this pickup to?

Thanks!

Hi James, welcome to the Forum. Looking at those diagrams it seems like you can drop in your new pick-up with good results. There are many guitar guru's on this Forum, perhaps one will assuage your concern about the wiring. Have fun here!
