Thank goodness there are a lot of weird people in this world. Else I wouldn't have been able to write some of the songs I have. And nobody would listen.

As for Rob, he deserves a pay raise. By not taking himself too seriously he gets us to relax, and on rare occasions he displays exceptional cat herding skills.

Ok, who brought the marshmallows?

Hope they can help you, Derek!
I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

When I was a youngster and very ill in bed for days with fever and a bit delirious my older brother came in to my room to check on me and I motioned for him to come close so I could say something to him. When he leaned in I managed to whisper that I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel and he whispered back "get out of the way it's probably a train". So much for brotherly love or empathy or... oh forget about it.

I hope these latest tests bring some favourable results Derek, as I know you would probably flog your whole collection for a cure.
As for other threads, I kinda miss the UFO, Volcano, Cat, big socks, earthquake, Nevin's latest, etc etc and all the other threads that make this a cool place to hang out.

And from my many years of experience, a disproportionate number of them seem to be (or want to be) musicians.

When the muses provide inspiration, they exact payment in one's sanity.
