Ah ! Perfect! That is a good score!

you will like p90s,

be aware, they're probably going to make a lot of noise if you are using a lot of gain in your tone stack, I think more so that an strat or tele style single coil. I have an SG Classic with P90s, They are NASTY - but in a real good way .. but the "hum" oyvhey! the hum!

worth it..

Congrats!

Yes they have much more windings than your Strat PU = more powerful = more hum

Very cool... great looking too... "Classic Vibe" of the Gibson variety 8)
If the hum drives you nuts it's an easy fix... drop a couple of PAF's in there... or perhaps a couple of DiMarzio's...
Either way... happy you got something to rock out on,
Enjoy! :)

You can get a lot of mileage out of the P90's. How heavy is it?

I don't have a scale but I'm guessing around 8-9 lbs or so. I have a nice heavy, leather strap for it, so back and shoulder pain isn't going to be a problem. I play mostly Blues now , so I only have the gain on my amp at around 5-6 , so hum isn't really a problem especially considering I keep it in the middle position. I'm going to go buy a noise gate pedal anyway. I just got done putting some Lemon Oil on the fretboard and I just restrung it with a new set of D'Addario 10's. I love this lil' baby and it ain't going nowhere !

Nice score, it would be my choice as well probably :)

As far as the hum goes, more powerful pickups don't necessarily mean more hum. Shielding is very important.
If hum becomes a problem, I'd first start by shielding the pickup cavities. The cheapest solution and works good. Noise gates will mean a note sustaining will be cut off eventually, it won't die out as it would naturally. But if you don't need notes sustaining for long, it shouldn't be a problem.
