Finally I can relax and get down to the fun times of playing music again. I have finished my relocation to Australia, and am settling in nicely. All my gear has arrived and is unpacked and working so I am a happy muso again. To celebrate my life changing event I decided to replace my Warwick Rockbass that I sold off when I left South Africa by purchasing this yesterday.....

And here she is with the rest of her family.....

I see you're in Perth ? Lovely city. I had the chance to visit there back in 1983 on my 1st Wes-Pac cruise when I was in the Navy. We were there for 6 days and I fell in love with the place. The people there were so friendly and charming to us and treated us great.

:D Yes it is indeed Brotherdave, I had been eyeing out that bass for quiet some time now, and couldn't wait until a found an excuse or opportunity to grab it.

Many congrats mate on your big move to Australia and your new bass!
I was lucky enough to live in Perth years ago (between 1995-1998). I'm 41 now so I would've been 22-25. I remember having some really cool times over there. I was in my first band called "Bunyip" - we did a few party gigs and recorded a few songs in a studio we hired (much easier with technology available today though!!) and then we imploded!
I live about 3000km's away from you now, over on the east coast of Australia in Brisbane. We're neighbours!!
I bet there's been a lot of changes since I left years ago. The local music scene when I was there was really strong. Not sure what it's like anymore but Perth is a unique city in a number of ways...for example, did you know it is the most isolated city in the world?
I would love to someday go back there and look around! If you like your Aussie Rock (like AC/DC) you definately should take a drive down to Fremantlte Cemetry and visit Bon Scott's grave (about 1 hour south). If you can that is. Unfortunately, due to some dis-respectful idiots, the grave stone keeps getting either grafiti all over it or the whole stone gets stolen! They might have enclosed it now to stop it been vandalized but I think you can still visit.
Anyway mate, I hope you enjoy Australia -it's the best country in the world man!!!
I like your set-up too! Very nice mate! Take care anyway!
