I just was interested in outer fringe music, music that isn't necessarily pop or mainstream like Hick-Hop, Spoken-Step etc. etc.? :?:

Do you ask us to guess whether you were interested in fringe music or not?
How are we supposed to know?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Sigur Ros isn't everybody's cup of tea because they are probably too far out on the fringe for the liking of a lot of people but I really like them-they have a quirky style that just presses the right buttons for me.Their Hvarf-Heim CD is exceptional but I have to wait until the missus is out of the house before I can sit and enjoy it-she thinks that it's weird and that I'm weird for liking it.....she's one of those who obviously thinks they are too far out on the fringe.

I have always gravitated to music that was off the musical beaten path such as The Bonzo Dog Band,David Vorhaus' White Noise,Gryphon,ELO's earliest albums (they were a bit too heady for a lot of people when they first evolved from The Move),Audience and a whole host of other artists who were either always or at one time or another considered being "out there".

This album is from 1990, but if you want out of the norm, these are the guys to listen to!
They are very talented, albiet weird. Their albums are all different from one to the next.
This is the album that got me into WEEN!
(LANGUAGE WARNING FIRST SONG!)
