Haven't posted anything in a while so I'm throwing this out there. My buddy added drums, I played the bass and guitar. Used my American Deluxe HSS Strat for all of the guitar tracks.

This is pretty chill so try not to fall asleep. Comments always welcome, thanks for listening!

Cheers - K_Low

Sounds good. I enjoyed it. Thanks.
On a side note................. Im watching Palladia while skimming the forum. Half through your song Jack White came on so I turned your song off and listened/watched JW play a couple songs. I didn't know JW played a Tele.
I enjoyed your song more than JWs.

Nice , Klowenst ! Nice tune, nice playing. And I did not fall asleep 8)

IMHO I think the track would have had a benefit if the baseline was a bit less complicated. I think it disturbs the beautiful song a bit. The drums ,on the other hand could have been a little more floating.......

Really nice sound from your strat !

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. 8)

You know asgeirman, I thought the bass line was just about right before I added the leads, but I can hear how it might be too busy in those sections now. I tend to build it up in layers and don't always adjust after new parts are added. Have to remember - less can be more!

Great tone from that Strat. Mic'd amp or recording software?

I'm pretty sure it was perfect before the lead came.... :D

This is the way to do it when you do it all alone. And I feel completely in the same boat.
As soon as I think I'm finished , I'm eager to ''let it go''- and bounce it. Just to find out it was a bit too early :?
As you say : Have to remember - less can be more! ( I tend to forget that)

Lately I've been working more with a band - but I'm looking forward to do more of my own recordings (Though it is very interesting and satisfying to see how my own tunes develop within the band  )

Thanks for the comment, especially considering your user name! ;)

I used recording software for this, a plugin called TH2 from a company named Overloud. I have been really happy with it, especially compared to the Pod Farm software that I used to use.

How were the drums handled here? They sound super-natural, but I cant tell for sure if they're sequenced or real.

I like this. I like the busy bass, too but I understand how it might jump out at the listener during certain sections.

The drums are real in the sense that my friend played them, but he used an electronic kit, so the sounds are being triggered. Thanks for checking out the track! :)

Loved it!
Great tone, really mellow and easy to listen to. (As opposed to being easy listening)

If you're interested in my thoughts, I thought it could use some direction. It played along then ended. Perhaps take it somewhere. Build some tension, tell a story etc.
