The Gretsch arrived to day. I've been comparing it to the Fender Coronado. The Gretsch is slightly heavier.ImageImage

Minnesota...WTF? You compared them and you only report on the weight difference? So unlike you!

Congrats, Minnesota!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

One is red and one is green. If you are a strat guy then I would go with the Coronado, the bridge pickup is very stratty and the neck is a 9.5' radius. Has Fideli-tron pickups that are made in Korea in the same factory as the Gretsch Filter-tron and they sound nothing alike. Not saying one is better just different. The Gretsch G5622 has a 12" radius and Grover tuners. It has 3 Super HI-lo pickups which are very Gretsch sounding. The Gretsch has three pickups and two selector switches Neck, Neck and bridge, bridge. The second switch is for the middle pickup and is either neck and middle, all three (don't like that) or bridge and middle. The Coronado is made in China and the Gretsch 5622 is made in Korea. The Gretsch has slightly better build quality, but I wouldn't want to live on the difference between them. Both are very nice guitars. Is that better T2? :)

Gotta love having that extra pickup and Bigsby on the Gretsch. That accounts for some of the extra weight. Friend of mine I used to play with has a White Falcon and WOW that thing sounds amazing.

Works for me! Both are gorgeous, would have a hard time choosing which one to pick on!

Both are sweet guitars IMO. I like hollowbodies. They have a nice sound to them and are great for blues and country rock.
