I'm exited to have gotten my Deville chassis back from Tube-Tone (blackface point 2 point with tube driven reverb.... no tremolo). Hopefully will have up for testing this weekend and will report.

Each 6L6 has it's own bias adjustment pot located for easy external adjustment.
My question. The additional expence of good matching does'nt bother me, so is there good reasons nonetheless to purchase matched duets?...........or is that moot since i can match plate current on any random pair?

If you can adjust bias for each tube , you don't need matched pair .

I never buy matched pair tube , they are always in spec; 5 to 10ma between tubes = better sounding than perfect match at 0-1 ma.
I talk about new good brand tubes from a good seller

By the way, more amp expert on amp section ,not in the lounge
