I'm back from my Pre-Operative, Everything went fine. Next up is the surgery itself tomorrow morning.
I'll be out of here early in the morning so I won't have a chance to post. If things go as planned I will be home sometime after 4:00 tomorrow afternoon. I'll try to get a post in before closing tomorrow.

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES!!!!!!!

Good. I'm interested to hear how you're doing. I was hoping to hear before I leave out of town (with no puter access) after this weekend.

Just a quick note to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and a special "best wishes" to Chet for his surgery today.

I feel like I'm detoxing from all of the pain meds that I've been on since my surgery and not feeling too well, but trying to stay positive.

Known Chet and Miami Mike here for a long time... sorry I was away and had to now hear the news.

Both you guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Chet, I'll see you on myspace when you get back on your feet.

Thanks Barry and good to hear from you. Also good to hear that Chet's surgery went well and again thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers.

I have my consultation visit with oncologist tomorrow and will find out what the next phase will be.

I like the words on their paperwork, "Cancer is hard...getting help shouldn't be."
Hopefully they practice what they preach.

I hope they keep to thier word Mike. If you need support to go with that help you know you can come here and get it. Best wishes and good luck with the Oncologists.

Thanks to everyone for the positive and thoughtful comments.

I saw Oncologist today and the treatment plan for my cancer (Stage 3 Adeno Carcinoma) is 24 weeks of Chemo involving a combination of meds which they call "FolFox" Treatments.

I will need another surgery to have a "medi-port" tranplanted in my chest and some other tests. After a few more weeks of this, combined with healing from the surgery, I'll start Chemo during the week of July 14th.

This will run into early January. I'm still trying to stay upbeat and positive that I can beat this.

I've also healed to the point where I can play a guitar as long as I have a pillow over the incision area.

I can't urge you folks enough to get checked if you're due because early detection makes a HUGE difference !

Thanks for the update Mike! We will definitely keep you in our prayers over here! Keep fighting kid! I know you can do it! The prayers of a righteous man avails much! Now I am not saying I am a righteous man, but I know how to pray. And brother, I am praying for you!
