Here's a picture of my two sunburst gals! I just picked up the Telecaster 3 days ago. She's a 2005 American Standard. Cost me $1000 (Australian $) which is a good price I think, considering there are absolutely no marks or scratches at all.
My other gal is a 2012 American Special Strat. I never thought I'd find a nicer guitar to play than my Strat until I picked up this Tele! She's just amazing! I'm so happy!

They are lovely guitars, you're right about the Tele, they're great playing guitars.I like your choice in amps too.

thanks mate! Glad you like them! I know they are fairly common guitars (not customs, deluxe or FSR's) but they are my whole musical world to me! I know I would be seriously upset if anything were to happen to them just the same. Judging by your list of equipment your obviously a keen player too! None of my other friends play musical instruments at all so I have no one to relate to on that level which is kind of unfortunate...I've even offered to teach them for free and although the idea of playing a musical instrument like a guitar sounds all cool etc, they just don't want to put the effort in that's required to learn! At the same time I know there are bound to be people out there everywhere who would love free lessons instead of paying $40 an hour!! Anyway, thats just the way it goes!

Hi Dan,in the past I used to give free lessons to kids who couldn't afford it and have given gear to kids who had an extraordinary gift for playing guitar. The personal satisfaction that comes from this far outweighs any monetary compensation.I was lucky enough to come from a family of musicians so my interest in music was greatly encouraged so I felt that I owed it to kids with an avid interest or talent for guitar to give them the same breaks that I got-kind of paying it backwards.BTW: I gave an incredibly gifted 11 year old distant cousin of mine a Vox VT-20 and a lefty Squier Tele because he was absolutely unbelievable after less than 2 years of lessons, but he didn't have gear that suited his skill level. He was so good that there was only one instructor in the music school who knew enough to teach him anything-he had left the other instructors in his dust.

Thats great advice mate.I'm not in a hugely great financial position or anything so I don't have a great deal of un-used equipment to give away but as far as giving some of my time goes I reckon I could do that.
I will put an offer out there now (to anyone that lives in my area that is -Brisbane, Australia)...I'm not quite a professional level player but I feel I'm easily competent enough to teach someone who is starting out or stuck in that intermediate level rut...know what I mean?
Anyone out there that lives near me is more than welcome to send me a message and take me up on this offer. As long as in return I can sometimes borrow you as a jam partner as well! Sounds fair?!

Thank you! My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy...says I'm like some sort of crazy father carrying on about his children! Haha ha!
It's not something a non-guitarist will ever understand I think!
