Had a visit with the doctor yesterday and he says my recovery is moving right along and the wrist is healing well being that it has been five weeks since I had surgery on my left wrist. Surprisingly he has not began PT on it,but he did suggest as therapy for my fingers to try playing my guitar occasionally to limber up my fingers,...BUT here's the thing,...NO MORE than five to ten minutes at a time,...if the wrist starts hurting,STOP! By no means am I ready to resume lessons,...and NO public performances,...not yet, anyway!

Oh no! Can you adjust the volume knob on the guitar with your other foot in the mean time?

Keep working on that recovery. Like the doctor said play the guitar but don't overdue it. After all the wrist is still a joint and is considerably more fragile than your fingers. And like I said to guitslinger try to warm up before playing. In your case I strongly advise you to warm up indirectly which means get some cardio workout before you play the guitar. It will warm up your joints and that helps a lot. Best of luck 8)
