So here I am trying to get a good set of strings and I have no ideia of what to get. I've used Dunlops (bah) currently have SIT's on (bloody awuful) the stock Fender Bullets ofc and Ernie Ball. With all that I have no ideia what should i get next. I haven't disliked the Ernie's but then again they didn't last long.

Oh I might add that i'm looking for a 0.10 gauge :P

Try Gibson Vintage Pure Nickel.

try Ernie Balls new M-Steel

I just put a set on this weekend. WOW!

These are the next evolution in the Cobalt String Thing..
I did like the cobalts, (which are quite good)

but I like these better

Very articulate/responsive with great brilliance.

They really give your pickups everything they need.

Tone for days.

I always buy Ernie Ball 10-46 but I picked up some Rotosounds on a whim last time.

Someone told me all the strings in the world are just made in one factory and companies just put their own branding on the packs.

Yah, we've had that discussion before and it's not true.

That was exactly my problem with EB's, so I ended up changing to D'Addario. Watch out for counterfeit strings. Here is what to look for: Play Real

+1 on the D'Addario. They feel a bit stiffer than EB's, last longer and have a bit better tone ,IMO.

I'll probably go with the D'addarios. Used them on my classical Alhambra and boy did they shine through and they lasted long as well! BTW does anyone have any kind of formed opinion on the D'addario's XL Light bottom heavy top?

I've used nothing but D'Addrio's for many years. The XLs are great strings, and they have worked like the dickens for me. I have 15 electrics, almost all have XLs.

However once I tried the cobalt string products from Ernie Ball, gotta say, it's a whole new ball game.

The M-Steels and the Coblats are expensive, but, what a difference they make.

I can't really afford to use them on ALL my electrics, but the ones I use the most,, yes..

Try them sometime.

Pyramids since early this year. Buy from Just Strings and no sales tax. Yea, they're pricey, but after playing many different ones for just over 50 years now, these ones seem the best...for now.

I also use D'Addario XLs. They last a good long time, sound good, and stay in tune. I recently tried D'Addario NYXLs and they are good too and seemed to stay in tune better than XLs.

I use D's too. I like the tone and longevity. My hands do not sweat much and I have neutral to mildly alkaline blood levels and sweat so my strings stay sweet sounding for a long time.

Ernie Ball Cobalt is what i use the most. i tried M-Steel, but found them craptacular compared to the Cobalt - far too stiff and taking permanent bends from the frets when bending. And that's not comparing price.

I used D'Addario XL Nickel Wound strings for at least 30 years and only stopped using them because they didn't come in a gauge light enough to compensate for the atrophy in my hands. After using many brands I settled on the D'Addarios because they held their new string bright tone longer than any others, they stayed in tune longer, even with very aggressive vibrato arm use and were less prone to breaking than any other brands that I tried.
