Year 1996, price so so. However these are questions you should ask BEFORE you spend your money.

I own one of these Clapton Strats, too. Congrats! I'd say that the price was a little high, but I wouldn't be too hurt over it. You paid for what you thought it was worth, and hopefully you're happy with your purchase.

Welcome to a rare breed of Clapton Strat owner, Candy Green. I think that it looks great with a tweed guitar strap and the golden hough to the metal flake is really very nice.

Unless you're using an archaic form of "hock" as in a horse's ankle, I don't think you got the right word here. I'm at a loss as to what you meant. Some local word for "shininess" or "iridescence"?

Anyhow, the metallic green is good looking, but having a shiny dark green guitar myself (more "mossburst" though), I think the setting for using it is somewhat limited; at least in a coordinated band setting. Solo, green rocks, IMO.

From the context. Hough might mean hue.

Ah, that would make sense! Weird that I didn't think of that. Yeah, the dark green in the middle of the green spectrum is, I think, a very attractive color that stands out. It just can be hard to coordinate with clothes and other bandmembers' colors.

+1 modwiz. An innocuous spelling error lol.

Here's a mid-to-late 1980s RollingStone cover showing Eric with lot #78.

The Night Music Strat (lot #64) was an all-out active guitar without the mode switch.

Candy Green was a custom color commissioned by Eric in 1987 to match the fizzy drink can. Per his own request it was dropped from the colour chart in 2010 and "unauthorized" since that date.

If you closely examine the RollingStone cover showing Eric cradling one of the 2 candy green guitars he owned in the late 1980's you'll notice the hue is exactly same as yours.

Sorry, I meant "hue."

Beautiful guitar friend, I do not like the green but on the Strat pretty!
Ps: Paris, me, it's my translator who betrayed me sometimes.
