Seriously though, you know what happened with the Atari E.T. game in the 1980s?

That's the future I see for these things. And rightly so.

Only no one will come along in 20 years and dig these up.

I'd rather play the E.T. game than listen to another rendition of the bloody Mario theme.

Scoff as much as you like, but I bet more people can place the synthetic voice of "E.T. phone home" than "Sunshine of Your Love".

Sure, there's a market for vocaloid gimmicks, and sure it will be a niche market for quite some time to come. But it's still a valid market. You and I might not like Hatsune Miku, but it was significant enough to be the opening act for Lady Gaga for 16 concerts. That's more fame than most of the posters here can lay claim to.

That's 11 more shows than Baby Metal opened for Lady Gaga!

Whooosh! (The sound of the point of this thread missing you by a good margin.)

By itself: Lame-o
But: Suppose you put it in a chain first in-line,
followed by an Electroharmonics B9 organ pedal,
then an Eventide Pitch Factor, and Space Reverb.

From dissipating an annoying party, to crowd control, to progamming the masses-
what deliciously evil sounds I could create with one of these!

Wonder when they go on clearance?

Imagine working in a guitar store on a Saturday morning with a group of teenage kids trying these pedals out through an amp. Just imagine that for a minute or two. That'd be enough to turn me homicidal.
