Mike: as I just mentioned in another thread, I'm glad you decided to stop by. This many folks sending you positive vibes can't be a bad thing, right?? :-) Anyway, keep your chin up and keep a positive attitude and best wishes toward a speedy and full recovery.

You're right, Brad. Many thanks for the positive comments from you and all of the Fender community!

I just had the pleasure of speaking to Mike on the phone. He's got an excellent attitude about all of this. He does appreciate the prayers and positive thoughts from everyone.

Like I told you Mike, anytime you feel the need to just talk or whatever you got my number.

Mike,

Kick it's butt. Cancer sucks, my wife was a chemo nurse for 9 years. She would tell you that your mindset has a lot to do with how you respond to treatment. You are in my family's prayers.

As I approach my ten year since being diagnosed, I'm still alive and doing well.

For you new folks, don't forget to get checked if you are due - early detection is key!

Congratulations Mike, fighting that hideous disease is one hell of a battle. I'm glad you're still alive and kicking.

10 years!? Fantastic!!!!! Whoopee!!! Wahoo!!! Awesome, Mike!!! But, if you think that’s a big deal (and it is), wait’ll you complete another 10 bro’. If ya think I’m gonna sit around and wait to see that - you’re right. I hope I’ll be here to do it. I’m depending on ya.

Hi Mike, that is such wonderful news! Ten years is a big milestone. My father had colon cancer in his late 40's and had 13 feet of bowel removed. He lived another 13 years and passed from a heart attack, but he was cancer free! I have had checkups every 3 years since I was 40 and each time they found pre-cancerous polyps so, as you said, those screenings are very important.

Stay well my friend. :D

All this time and I didn’t even know.
This thread started before I joined.
That’s great to hear, Mike.
Here’s to many more.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
