My belt buckle has guitar rash on it, as both of my electrics have buckle rash on them. :P

Hi Buxom. I had a realisation: every time I play my guitar a few molecules from my hand rub off on the neck and are left behind there. And at the same time some molecules from the neck rub off on my hand.

Gradually, my hand and my guitar neck are swapping places, a few molecules at a time.

If I play for long enough that process will run the full course and eventually my guitar will have my hand and maybe my whole arm instead of its neck. And I will have a guitar neck instead of a left arm.

It's realisations like this that keep me awake at night.

Cheers - C

My belt buckle is powder coated in black, yet it still has a few chips in it.

Fender poly is indestructible, probably somewhere between brick wall and bedliner.

I use one of these and get no buckle rash. Self clinging and safe for finish not recommended for new nitro but works on old nitro finishes.Image

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Yep. Great accessory.

I got one, and use it for my Stratocaster and the two G&Ls (since they're all a bit more "valuable")...I'd like to get a couple more of them to keep in each of their cases, but I'm so broke I can't even spend the night.

Ironically, I never use it on the Telecaster, and it seems not to matter--I use it more than all the others combined, and it's acquired the fewest "character marks" on it (compared to the others) in the last few years. Weird.
