You need to check other online retailers who sell Fender stuff as I am sure someone would deliver to the international armed forces address...

I have no idea, because I've never had to look into it, but one place to start would be Musicians Friend, and then there's always eBay...

http://www.guitartrader.com/ will ship to FPO/APO boxes and they state that they will ship to ALL overseas US Military bases.

I'm a satisfied US customer. I got my Squier Strat from them a year ago.

i understand your concern with eBay.
But if you make contact with the seller and make sure he's a good seller (check is ratings) there shouldn't be any problems.
I recently started using eBay and have been using it ALOT.
Just don't buy/bid without fully reading descriptions, shipping fees, etc...

good luck!

Fender isn't dissing soldiers man. There are legal issues involved with overseas shipping. Free trade isn't really free trade. Fender can't ship to customers outside the U.S. Being in the military doesn't change that. Fender isn't responsible for those regulations. Fender is working to change that. Until then, everything available on Fender's site can be ordered from ANY Fender dealer. They can ship to you. Lot's of us here served and it wasn't so companies could grow big. Fender was big long before you, before me. You can't take credit for that one. What's your APO, I'll ship you whatever you need man.

Have a family member make the purchase and send it to you, that shouldn`t be a problem.

I'm probably going to be the most hated person on the forums for answering this thread...

Dude...enough already.

As someone who's been "over there" 6 stinkin' times since 2004....

enough already.

Let me get this straight......

Chances are you're either living in a tent, or a pod, in a desert environment where just about everything electronic or halfway decent gets DESTROYED because of that dust that's so fine it just creeps everywhere in the summer and is akin to spackle in the wintertime...

and you're WORRIED about getting a guitar TO THAT PLACE that's dinged, or scratched??

Where exactly are you staying, CS? Saddam's Palace?

Honestly? It's no biggie to have your family send stuff over there. Stop baggin' on Fender.

Besides....if you're crazy or stupid enough to desire a high dollar guitar OVER THERE, in that place, a place where the chances of it getting damaged and/or stolen (especially if you're one of those US Army people) is amazingly high....

(shakes head)

I wouldn't even bother with anythign better than a Squier over there. Seriously.

(And yeah, I forgot to think about "the children" while making this post, and please, don't take this the wrong way...but stupid is stupid no matter what corner it's coming from......)

What's that supposed to mean?

More Army folks over there than anything else....and yes, there is some personal ambiguity here. I had a PC ripped off that was stashed in an Army area over at Anaconda...

(I take it you're not familiar with US Army procurement techniques, aka if it's not locked up or bolted down it's fair game?)
