if these types of pictures are going to continue to be allowed then my family and I will have to find a new way to interact with folks who love music and Guitars.

the favorite Lp cover thread is even worse and yes its pornographic.

does it in any way have a possitive bearing on this discussion ???

No, its childish and totally unnessasary.

Fender needs to decide if this is a family friendly site or not.

The price was just misidentified above so I want to make that clear -- they'll be $19.99. And I've seen some discussion about sizing as well so here's a reminder on both (quoted from an earlier post):

Price: The shirts will be $19.99 each -- note that that price actually represents a couple bucks knocked off of our standard shirt pricing; I wanted to keep it under $20 for sure, and we made it by 1 cent. :-)

Sizing: I asked for the most flexible sizing offerings we could realistically do: we'll be offering S through XXXL and all points in between. Again, pretty cool as many of our tees are only offered in M through XXL!

Sweet!

Regarding the controversial topic that surfaced above, the image posted is not "pornography" as defined per the laws of our land, and yet it's also very suggestive so I can see why it might be offensive to some. The fact is that as a moderator there's no winning here, and I would truthfully prefer not to get involved. If I remove the image, I get criticized. If I leave the image, I get criticized. I lose either way.

I do know that no one has hit their "report abuse" buttons as a result of said post so if folks are finding it offensive they're certainly not letting me know. In any case, if you'd like to discuss the topic further and/or try to convince me one way or another I'd encourage a separate thread be started as this thread is intended to stay focused on our T-shirt project -- and I have a big update on that which I'll post in a minute.

Now, to get this particular thread back on track -- I just received a big update on the shirts! They've all been printed, packaged, and barcoded, and they just got picked up from the vendor en route to FMIC's shipping warehouse. Translation: we're getting really close!

If the sight of a girl in a bikini is offensive, then you and your family should stop all of the following then: watching TV, looking at the sale ads from the newspaper, reading magazines, going to the beach, and browsing the internet.

And I'm about to go out of town in a few days.....hopefully the link for purchase will still be around when I get back.

P.S. It's taking me about 5 mins to get a site to load, from this Fender site all day.....is it just me? No other site, I'm going to, is giving me this problem.

I am so sure this post can survive.

We all have different world views and concerns.

My hope is that this forum will remain a safe place for all families to get involved with music.

as for the other suggestions, well I'll stay out of your lifestyle choices, you stay out of mine and we will get along just fine.

As Rodney King once said "why cant we all just get along"

The "prototype" for the shirts is in the house!!! Just had it in my paws a bit ago, and it'll be photographed today. Fantastic looking shirt, I'm very happy with how it came out. So ... yes, we are right around the corner here!

I'm going to keep PayPal opened in another tab so I can grab one of those the minute they're live online.
