Not a bad idea, but the guitar in the logo should be a Telecaster

i must agree, needs a telecaster, and a strat, mayebe on the back it could list the first 100 members or member that have posted a certain amount of posts like 500 or 1000
make it 500, that way I'd be on there 8)

I think the logo is fine the way it is. I think if you include name of members on the back it would be a nightmare. It might be better to say serving members in these countries and then list the countries. That way nobody gets insulted for not making the list for whatever reason/criteria.
mabye they could be coustom ordered... to have your name on it..

Well Brad, since the t-shirt design is going back to the drawing board...can I give my "Two Cents"? You know, when I look at the Fender Lounge logo, and I see the martini glass, the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Vince Ray". I have a couple Fender-Vince Ray t-shirts. My favorite is the Vince Ray "Stratocaster" t-shirt. I've had several people ask me where I got that t-shirt and I said Fenders online store only offered a short run on them, and you can't get them anymore.1  So Brad, picture the "Fender Lounge" logo with a Strat and a Tele and the Martini Glass ala "Vince Ray"! Hey, just my two cents! Buy the way....I just got my "Gretch"-Vince Ray t-shirt,Verry Cool 8)

You guys know the deal, if you ask 100 people what it should look like you will have 100 different designs, so we need to be realistic here.

The logo should come off just about like it does at the top of this page asking for alterations to please a few people is a good way to get this project canned.

Let me offer some assurance that the project is no way in danger of being canned; heck, I want to have a couple of these tees hanging in my *OWN* closet. :-) That said, you've offered some very wise advice above. Folks are certainly free to post ideas -- creativity is never a bad thing -- but I can virtually guarantee you that for starters the shirt is going to be kept pretty simple.

Yes, indeed -- big strides forward today. The initial vendor we reached out to on this just wasn't bringin' it, so we cancelled that order and moved the bid to another vendor earlier today. Design in progress, all systems go. Things moving forward again!

Thanks again.

There's been big forward progress on the shirt project the past couple days and I wanted to hop by and share a few specific updates.

Now, before we continue, I must forewarn you that this is the part of the project where it's inevitable that there's simply going to be no way to please everyone and yet keep the project realistic and achievable -- in fact, I can virtually guarantee you that some of the details below are going to be a bit of a disappointment to some here. As I've mentioned already in this thread since this is our first project of this nature I really want to get 'er done using existing vendors and with minimal headache and disruption to existing systems, if you know what I mean. *IF* we can pull this off with minimal headache and sell through these shirts in pretty short order, that'll be a great step toward doing more, bigger, deeper projects of this nature together in the future.

That said, here's the update:

Design: The design is done and is OK'ed by Legal. I'll share a mockup image of it next week but as per the early posts in this thread we're talking the forums logo on a black tee, with the web URL. Simple but effective! I think it looks cool as heck personally.

Price: The shirts will be $19.99 each -- note that that price actually represents a couple bucks knocked off of our standard shirt pricing; I wanted to keep it under $20 for sure, and we made it by 1 cent. :-)

Sizing: I asked for the most flexible sizing offerings we could realistically do: we'll be offering S through XXXL and all points in between. Again, pretty cool as many of our tees are only offered in M through XXL!

Additional Minutiae: Fender part numbers for the shirts have been created; a P.O. for the shirts was drafted and has been issued to the vendor.

Timeframe: Shirt blanks are back-ordered but are on their way; ETA 2 weeks. Actual printing of the shirt will take 2 weeks or less. Getting them stocked in our warehouse, add another 7 days. Anyway, a late August arrival is probably a reasonably safe guesstimate.

Sorry if this is too much detail but I figured I'd give you the play by play. :-)

Any chance you can take "pre-orders" so that TPTB can see that there is a real interest?
