Now that I have my new music room getting under way,I want to make sure that I don't have the same problem with moisture and mildew again.I have a dehumidifier but strange thing is that it doesn't have a built in hygrometer. The closest thing that I have to it is a digital weather station but that only registers outdoor humidity. Can anyone suggest a decent and accurate hygrometer and where would be the best place to get one,do music stores sell them?Cheers.

Does anyone on this forum actually ever play their guitars? Or do people just polish them and take photos of them?

Even with the atrophy in my hands I still make sure that I pay every single day just to keep them from deteriorating further.I don't think that there are many on the forum of the non-playing collector type or those who would rather polish and photograph than play.

I bought a wall one I keep in same room as my acoustics, got it from a company that sales sauna supplies, seems pretty accurate.

Hi guitslinger: check out violin sellers. Violin cases often come with a hygrometer built in, sometimes a thermometer too. The couple of violin shops I know in the real world also sell separate hygrometers, some small, some quite lavish, and I'm sure the online sellers will do so too.

Cheers - C
