Hey guys;
Just wanted to drop by and give you all an update on how my wrist is doing. Well,...I went to the doctor today and they removed the cast/splint and put on a wrist brace. They
took an x-ray and things are healing up,but still on road to a full recovery,...I hope. I am off the pain meds and doc says that if I feel or have any pain that I can take Aleve. He also gave me the okay to start driving again as long as I feel comfortable doing so. I'm still going to be somewhat limited on what I can do as I still don't want to put any weight on my left wrist,...you know,...lift something heavy that might pull the plate and pins loose,..crap,we don't need that happening! Later on,he also told me that possibly playing my guitar would be good therapy for the fingers and the wrist,but if it starts to hurt,don't force it.
The doctor also released me to start back to work this coming Wednesday,but on restricted duty,meaning only jobs that can be done with one hand. If for any reason that is not feasible,to expect to be off work at least three to four more weeks,...giving my wrist more time to heal,as my employer would not want to put me in a dangerous position that could injure the wrist again. Talked with my employer after my doctor visit and that is what they told me as well. They want me to come back,but they also want me to heal up,too.

Glad to know your injury is improving Dewey. Put your arm in a sling so you won't be tempted to use it or find yourself in a spot where you will have to. :wink:

Any discussions regarding occupational therapy? Seems reasonable to me. :idea:
