I have never seen anything with this many tubes!
I am not interested in it, as I have my plate full with the Univox Amp right now, but it looks pretty interesting!

Ad says it's two devices, a tone generator and an amp. Only 9 tubes in the amp!

Most of those tubes are audio frequency oscillators, you can see they're labelled A#, G etc.

Youtube shows it's some kind of horrible-sounding electric accordion module!

Super Mario Brothers! Awesome!
Yeah that thing is crazy. I wonder if the tone generator is useless for guitar?

I'd imagine the tone generator is triggerd from the accordion, there seems to be a multicore lead coming out of it. Maybe someone could hack it to work with a Roland hex pickup but it won't be me. Life's too short to start projects like that!

Are 30 tubes worth 250 bucks?

Not if they've been used.

I'd buy that for $250. That's a good price.

If I was into a project, I would consider it just to see what it can do!

The Uni has been put on hold for a bit, at least the speaker cabinets.
There is some water damage to the bottoms of the cabinets. I am not sure how far up it goes, but there may be a bit of mold too. I am trying to decide what the best plan of attack would be.
I have 4 options:
1. Leave it
2. pull back tolex carefully, attend to damaged area, clean and reglue
3. strip the whole thing, attend to damage and re-tolex
4. build new cabinets.
I still need to take the head back to get it re-capped.

Used so that each chord on the accordion has it own tone bank.

I guy I went to school with played accordion in the 70's and he had a Cordovox. I remembered it weighed a ton. Sounded like an organ. It wasn't a good guitar amp IMO but hey, I was a kid. I'd do that just for the vintage tubes and parts. NOS 7591's are pretty pricy.
