I'm somewhat of a natural lefty....

Write
Eat
Throw a baseball (but yet I bat righty)
Kick a soccer ball/punt a football
Hammer a nail
Use power tools
Shoot firearms and compound bows

...and musically, I play drums lefty. 8)

All other activities are done righty (guitar, golf, tennis, etc..)

I'm not left handed but a lot of my favourite musicians are lefties though: Paul McCartney,Jimi Hendrix,Tony Iommi,Albert King,Dick Dale etc. they are all very accomplished musicians and some such as Jimi are ambidextrous. I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

I'm a Lefty! Yup, it gets kinda awkward sometimes...like using a pair of scissors: never fits correctly on my left hand, that sort of thing. Didn't know we had a "day". I have a friend that plays a lefty Fender Precision bass. I tried to play it but felt so odd in my hands. Learning on a regular bass & guitar & then trying to play a lefty is really difficult, even though it seems it would be natural as it is designed for a lefty... :?

What a sinister topic.

Aren't you guys left-handed the rest of the year too?

Ha, well, I'm an international lefthander, so I shall celebrate my day accordingly. Is there a street parade?

Yep. I play tennis lefthanded, but otherwise every word of that applies to me too. Drums lefthanded, guitar righthanded, etc. Lefthanders often mix things up like that, more than righthanders. ...Or maybe it's just we're fundamentally mixed up. :)

LOL... That's true! Lots of people have looked at me like I have "issues" when it comes to various sports. As I mentioned, I throw a baseball lefty but bat righty. What's even more odd is, I will punt a football left footed, but yet throw a pass righty! :P

At most sporty type things I'm left handed but I play pool right handed. With a lot of things I think it just comes down to which way round you first picked up the implement in question. I'm extremely glad I first held a guitar right handed. It would be such a shame not to be able to play the majority of guitars out there, and so much less choice from the big manufacturers.

It is a serious handicap being a left handed drummer; I really wish I'd started out at that right handed. In jam siuations you either have to laboriously switch the kit around or many times just pass on opportunities to sit in. Still, I once met a guy who played a left handed piano. That's often an insurmountable problem, a real career blocker.

Cheers - C

 We used to have a running gag when I was in the Boy Scouts. We'd send the youngest most inexperienced scout over to another troop to ask if we could borrow their 'left handed smoke shifter'. If the other troop was on the ball, they'd claim they only brought their 'right handed smoke shifter' and send the poor lad on to the next troop to ask the same question.
