my dad, he passed away in 2001 and wanted me to carry on the Fite (my last name) legacy. He was the fastest guitar player in Oregon and scared the hell out of every player, including his friends Willie Nelson and Les Paul. I'm working on continuing the legacy. got my first guitar in 2002 didnt start to play until 2004. now i have 5 working on 6 or 7 guitars now.

Honestly and I'm not just saying this The Goo Goo Dolls. Well Johnny Rzeznik but without each other they wouldn't be The Goo Goo Dolls. I went to my first GGD concert and now I'm a HUGE FAN!! I wanted to be able to play my favorite songs and hopefully be as good as Johnny Rzeznik!

Mine was my Uncles who had a very popular local band in the 60's. They were the first real band that I played with when I turned. My other major influence was the Beatles. I still love em!

well, i was jealous of all my friends in band class in 5th grade...lol. other than that, it was Jason Mraz who inspired me to start doing my own thing, and Green Day (mainly Billie Joe Armstrong) who inspired me to see it through... i've been playing since i was 11, so that's 7 years now.

My dad originally. He had no musical talent whatsoever, but was simply in awe of anybody who did. Later, when a piece of music would move me - emotionally - I started to recognize its impact and power. Then I saw the effect musicians had on girls, and by my early teens I was hooked. I dabbled around with music through my teen years, and my dad bought me my first guitar as a high school graduation present. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and was influenced by all of the bands during those eras. So, I had many reasons/influences to get into music, but ultimately it was my family with dad leading the way that got me started.

I guess I have to say my Grandmother. She'd sing around the house while working and had us kids singing in the church choir about the time we started school. It just stuck. I love to sing.

Clapton opened the door, but a long distinguished list met me on the other side!
